Day 1Skyline and the birth of a country
Start with “Record-breaking Dubai”, from the Dubai Mall to the Burj Khalifa and the Opera, before the sun gets fierce. Have luqaimat at the Arabian Tea House in Al Fahidi. In the afternoon, indoors and a viewpoint: go up the Dubai Frame, which frames old and new Dubai, and finish at the Etihad Museum, which tells how the country was born in 1971. A day of contrasts between skyscrapers and recent history.
